A Youku History of Nostalgic Chinese Snacks.

Located by our one and only Beibei, this Youku video documents many traditional, and some recent Chinese candies and snacks. Comments heard while she was watching this included, “I remember eating those when I was in middle school!” and “Those aren’t even around anymore!”

Many of these snacks are still around today including White Rabbit Candies, and 糖葫芦  (caramelized fruit sticks), but others like 酸梅粉(sour plum) have been replaced by more relevant and modern snacks. Members of the 80′s generation in China might feel nostalgic towards many of these snacks, yet many of the Chinese 90′s generation never got the opportunity to enjoy these.
